Client Review I had the privilege of meeting Texoma Quack Addicts guide Zac Devine several years ago on a cold wet Thanksgiving morning. I had scouted a location in a tidal marsh along the shores of the Barnegat Bay and planned to show a buddy a great hunt on his first duck outing. Unfortunately, I hadn’t counted on the outgoing tide that left me in a mud hole with no water. While making a mad dash for a spot before shooting hours we discovered a blind which, if occupied was sure to end our hunt. The piece of state property we were on was small and spots were hard to come bye. On approaching the blind a nice young fellow greeted us and did the unthinkable, he asked us to join him. This was NJ and people just aren’t that nice. Within minutes Zac described his set up and offered suggestions as to the proper placement of our decoys to maximize effectiveness and add to his already well thought out spread. Although several years our junior Zac’s Maturity and sense of humor had us immediately feeling as though we had all been friends for years.. I was absolutely blown away by Zac’s knowledge of the area and the waterfowl that called it home. Just before legal shooting time we had ducks just pouring into our decoy’s and they never let up. Those few hours I spent in the blind with Zac that morning resulted in some of my favorite hunting memories. Anyone whose duck hunted more than once knows it’s about more than just killing ducks it’s about the time spent with good friends. I wouldn’t care where Zac was hunting I would jump at the chance to share a blind with him again. Shoot Straight, Mark Cottrell
